Nausea/dyspepsia that won't go away

Hi!
I am a 43 year old female.  For the past 2 months I have been suffering from upset stomach/nausea/burning stomach every time I eat (and sometimes when I don't eat).  I had been taking a significant amount of NSAIDs for TMJ and my physician thinks  that my constant dyspepsia may be from too much ibuprofen.  She put me on Prilosec (20 mg) about 4 weeks ago.  After the 1st 4 days, I really saw a difference and felt almost like myself again.  Certain foods definately triggered the dyspepsia (coffee, chocolate were big offenders).  But I was feeling much better.

About 10 days ago, it started to get worse again.  Not as bad as before the Prilosec, but definately not as good as I felt during the 1st 2 weeks.  I am at the end of my course of Prilosec (she prescribed it for 4 weeks).  My Dr. is on vacation for 2 weeks, so I am stuck feeling cruddy and not sure if I should buy OTC Prilosec and keep it going, up the Prilosec to 2 tablets (to make 40 mgs) or do something else...I am really getting depressed with not feeling well....its taking a toll on me and my family.

The nausea/upset stomach doesn't cause me to be completely "down and out" (it did before the Prilosec), so I can function, but its just discouraging to have an upset stomach 3/4 of the day.

I haven't ever vomited, and only occasionally have intestinal upset.

Any advice would be great.
