Nausea

Since Sept 2009, I have been having diarrhea until the day I went to doctor and got some medication. Oct 19 2009 the day I went to see doctor he said I might have some bacteria from food that I ate and prescribed me 2 drugs.

The doctor gave me amoxicillin for my stomach flu and lomotil for my diarrhea.

Within 1-2 days I have been stop having diarrhea but the stool isn't hard. The problem is I can't seem to have any urge to wanting to use the bowl unless I sit down and try to force it.

I have gone eating through oatmeal diet. Things seems fine for for now.

Within my 3rd day dinner I didn't follow my oatmeal diet but continue with my usual diet of rice, meat and vegetables. Immediately within less than 1 hour, I feel nausea. I get full within a few bites.

My question is
1) Am I constipated?
2) Taking lomotil cause me to have constipations and nausea?
3) Is oatmeal too thick for my digestive system to go through right now if I am constipated?
4) What remedies I should use to soft my stomach/colon to make stool easier to pass? I heard prune juice is a good option.

Plan to when I have the money soon. No health insurance.

If you find you start having the diarrhea again, you might pick up over the counter acidophilus capsules and take as the bottle directs, because antibiotic often can cause diarrhea, since it kills good bacteria, not just the bad.  God willing, you won't have cancer, but you should get an occult blood test since your concerned about it.

My doctor instructed me to lay off lomotil once my diarrhea has been gone which I have. I am now only taking just antibiotics starting today.

God forbid me to have colon cancer or anything worst. None of my family member have this sickness/disease.

Not being a doctor, I'd guess the antibiotic is giving you the nausea and the lomotil, constipation.  I'd check with your doctor about going off the lomotil and taking acidophilus capsules instead during the antibiotic tx to try to prevent the diarrhea that can come from the antibiotic killing good as well as the bad bacteria.

Bloating
Growling in my stomach area
Nausea
No fever/headache
