Need some information and suggestions

I was told about a year ago that I had Crohn's disease, after find a fistuale that called for an imediate surgery, (boy was that both painful and humiliating). I thought the worst was over I was no longer having abdominal cramps that were pretty close to dry heaves. and the pain and blood that had been eminating from my rectum had gone. then about six months later I had to have another surgery for another fistuale. since, then I have been very good about taking my asocol(I call it ***-o-hole)and have also improved my diet, that seemed to get rid of the cramps completely. The picture painted by my GI doctor was not pretty, I am 33 and hope that I am not doomed to surgeries, pain and cramps. is there a diet that is helpful, or does it help to be active? these are some of the question that are going though my head. so thanks for any advice or information.

I am afraid that I don't have too much to offer except I do know 2 other people who have crohn's and they both are on special diets. It is a terrible disease but it seems that diet helps to manage the symptoms. Both of my friends are female, one is only 22 and the other is in her late 30's and developed it while carrying her 2nd child. She almost died after giving birth! I hope that you can find a way to manage your symptoms. God bless!
