New to PPI's

by FVH43, Aug 03, 2009 07:36AM
I've recently been diagnosed via Endoscopy with Chronic Gastritis. I don't drink, smoke nor am I overweight.  Am on 2 Prevacid a day for the past 2 wks and am still having trouble eating because of a full feeling in the stomach and bloating as soon as I eat even a small amount of food.  Should I ask to be put on another PPI or will this feeling finally go away?  To my knowedge, I've never had Gastritis before, so how can it be "chronic"? Can Gastritis be cured?  I am very careful with my diet and always have been.

This discussion is related to Prevacid/Protonix or H2b for GERD/Nausea/Dyspepsia.
