I had the Nissen fundoplication surgery done 6 weeks ago. Two days post surgery, I started to experience my reflux symptoms again. My surgeon assures me that I had a fantastic wrap and that it can not be reflux anymore. I am having a hard time believing him because I actually respond to my reflux medications when I take them. The problem with taking the medications is that the prolonged use of PPI caused me to get several stomac polyps. What should I do. I feel like I am in a no win situation. In order to see another surgeon you have to be referred by thhe surgeon who performed the surgery. Anyone else experiencing this? Any advice?
