55 year old femaleCondoms Female condoms Female sexual dysfunction. Ever since my gall bladder was removed I have terrible constipation. I have eaten a high fiber, low fat diet for years due to heart issues and am adding more fiber to hopefully help with the current situation. Before the surgery my bowel movements were soft and effortless, now they are hard and take lots of straining causing pain through out my abdominal/intestinal region. I feel like I've done a 100 situps at times. Am I missing something? I've talked to my doctor and she suggested the more fiber but this has not helped. Will address the issue with her at my next check up, but was looking to see if anyone else has had this problem after gall bladder surgery.
Usually it's the exact opposite, isn't it? Immediately after I had my gallbladder removed, I had diarrhea for 46 days straight. It was brutal. Flash forward eight months and I'm constipated all the time. I take ColaceColace Colace glycerin suppositories Colace micro-enema, which is a stool softener.
