No movement..........

Hello,
After reading a lot of the complaints on this forum of people not having bowel movements for 3 and 4 weeks....I feel rather silly by saying I haven't had a movement in 8 days! This has been an on going problem since my reconnect from my last surgery. I had a colon resection back in 2004. I am a chronic user of Krystolose on a daily bases but still can not have a movement. Does anyone have  a suggestion on what I can do? I have never administrated an enema to my self but I guess there is always a first time. I feel like I have to go but because of the deadening of feeling back there I never know just where it is in my colon.
Thanks

Thanks for your response Pogo,
I have tried Krystolose to no avail, it is in a powder form. I will try lactulose asap....I am getting real concerned. I know that all this constipation stems from my meds.....but I can't go off them. I live in Rhode Island and my surgeon is one of the best around. He has been inside me 5 times and knows his way around in there better than anyone. After my reconnect from a colostomy is when all this started.....First from the pain meds then from my daily meds. I have tried a fruit and veggy diet for a few days now but still no movement!
Thanks again for you concern,
istrum
