Not well and worried please help!!

Colitis questionable ??   Im a 38 year old mum of six, they grown now and im normally fit and healthy but lately im getting really worried and too afraid to talk to the doctors about it, For a couple months now i have been experiencing pain in my abdomen just inside my lower left rib, im not getting any other problems apart from occasional sharp stabbing pains under my left breast, i cant talk to anyone about it because im a quiet person and keep myself to myself, I am getting a little worried now as pain killers arent helping at all and i dont want to take more than prescribed. Three years ago now i was rushed into hospital through constant sickness and no diagnosis was given apart from a doctor saying colitis, and that means they dont know what it was, any suggestions would be hugely appreciated Please !!!

Welcome to the gastroenterology community!  You need to go see your doctor about this.  There is no other way to go about this, and it could be something serious.  Colitis means inflammation in your intestines and if your doctor thinks this is what it is, then you need to undergo some testing.  Good luck.
