For about two years now, I have had a series of ongoing abdominal issues...weight loss, burning, bloating, pain that radiates under rib cage, nausea, night sweats etc. Have had a ton of bloodwork done, endoscopy, colonoscopies, ultrasounds, small bowel follow through, MRE, CT scans, xrays and nothing ever shows up. Do not have Celiac's or Krohn's. Diet is very limited as a lot of food bothers me...cannot eat greasy or fried foods, red sauces, fresh fruits or vegetables, caffeine, sugar, nothing cheesy. Very bland diet. Have had cancer markers done also. Anyone else experience all of this and what is the diagnosis?
Irritable bowel syndrome, reflux disease, gall bladder disease, ulcerative colitis, diverticulitis, H pylori infection, intestinal lymphoma are few common causes of your symptoms. You should be reviewed by your doctor again and have a CBC done and a complete hepatic panel done to make sure it isn't his liver that is causing this. You should be tested for Hep A B and C for starters. Did you get a HIDA scan for gallbladder function? Seek the opinion of a gastroenterologist. Keep me posted.
Best luck and regards!
