Overgrowth of Candida

Overgrowth of Candida

For many years my tongue has been extremely, or grossly white and soar.  In the last few years I have had every symptom of yeast overgrowth.   I didnt know anything about this untill I found it on line.  My life has been miserable, and I have had every diagnosis from my doctor than candida, he just kept me coming back.  I have to see a gastro doctor Friday, because the hospital told me that I probably had IBS.  For 6 months my food comes out looking exactly like it did when it went in.   Before this new doctor sees me what do I need to ask him, besides does he believe in the complications of candida.  Can this be cured?

Yes, candida can be cured.  I went to a Naturopath.  He put me on an special diet for about a month or two and gave me supplements to help kill the yeast.  The first few days were tough but after that I felt so energetic and wonderful.  This was 2 years ago and I am still yeast free.  If you get a chance read the book "The Yeast Connection" and here is a link to a web site that relates to it with helpful info http://yeastconnection.com/.  Unfortunately many medical doctors don't know much about or pay attention to candida issues but do bring it up with yours.

Thanks so much for your reply,  I have been on pedialite for the last for days and was told I couldnt eat any thing untill I see my gastro doc,  The hospital I went to said I had IBS in which I may have that too.  I am feeling somewhat better and my tongue is not as soar.  Where do I find a Naturopath, and what kind of diet did they put you on.  What foods should I avoid.    Lisa

Hi, I'm a nutrtionist.  The person above me is right.  I also read on this forum something posted by a guy who goes by "frangul."  His post is under, "Sharp Stomach Pains."  he said he saw a chinese dr who said he had too much yeast and put him on and herb (I think they were pellets) called Huo Xiang Zheng Qi Wan.  Traditional dr don't know how to test or treat yeast.  Go see a good holisitic dr.  And don't start and stop taking things for the yeast.  If you don't take an antifungal (drug or natural remedy) until the yeast is gone, it will grow more stronger and more resistant.  Also, get the book, The Body Ecology Diet by Donna Gates.  Ignore the chapter on eating for your blood type.  But the rest of the book is great for people with yeast.  She also talks about making raw cultured vegetables.  These are too hard to make.  Buy them.  A company called Rejuvenitive Foods makes them.  Try the salt-free Vegi Delite.  You'll also need to take a good probiotic.  the best one I know of is Primal Defense Ultra by Garden of Life.  You can order it by calling 1-877-673-0224.  Following a special diet, as outlined in these books while taking a probiotic, and whatever antifungal your holistic dr recommends (and/or this chinese herb), will help you greatly.  You can get rid of this.  Good luck!

Thank you,  I can't wait to get rid of this,  I think for the rest of my life I will pay more attention to my body, and what I put in it.   I don't want to feel this way ever again,   Thank you Lisa
