Overuse of laxatives

I have been overusing laxatives for years - not for weight loss - just to be able to go to the bathroom everyday - I also have terrible hair loss - I have been tested for EVERYTHING!  Could the over use of laxatives be draining my body of some nutrient that could be making my hair fall out? I eat well and take vitamins and other supplements  but my hair is still falling out.  Thanks so much for your help!

When you abuse laxatives, you deplete your system of nutrients, electrolytes, and potassium.  Which are all needed to keep your system healthy and in balance and your heart beating.  Eating well, taking vitamins and other supplements do no good if the laxative is rushing it all through your system.  You say you've been tested for everything, did this include a complete blook work up?  This is the only thing that can tell you what you may be deficient in.  Also, look at your supplements, you may be getting some toxicity from too much of something, or the mixture of what you are taking may not be good.  If I were you, I stop all vitamins and nutrients + laxatives and see if your hair stops falling out.
