PAINFUL SEVERE CONSTIPATION my whole life!

When I was about 1yo I had digestive problems. Very constipated I had to always be given all kinds of laxatives I had to get enimas constantly, prunes, prune juice. Back then when I had to have a bowel movement (now this is gonna sound weird) I would tense up. My whole body. My legs would get really stiff and my stomach would cramp badly. My body would sorta spasm and my rectum would feel as if I was trying to hold it in though I wasint. I remember it cause it was traumatising and I still do it as an adult. Now noone knows that I still stiff up and spasm cause I'm 21 and that's very embarrassing. If I go once in a week that would be MAJOR improvement. I would only go when I had my period. And its a small amount. But I just had a baby in April so me not having a period made it worse I think. Now since I had a baby I can't continue to stiff, spasm,. When this happens all I want to do is just lay in the bed cause certain movements trigger it. Its very draining and so is a newborn. I can't continue like this.

I have tried stronger laxetives but seems as if they just make it worse. Especially the ones that just make you go instead of just softer. I've had hemmoroids before but now they're getting worse. I don't know if I should go to my normal doc first or a gastroenterologest. Cause I dont have time to waste and go to a doc whose not gonna listen. I've been through that already.

I take Magnesium bis-glycinate 800 mg daily in 4 divided doses.  Available from your health food store.
Read the book "The Magnesium Miracle" by Carolyn Dean, MD., ND.
She describes how to take magnesium in increasing daily amounts to bowel tolerance and then cut back gradually until normal bowel movements are achieved.

My ex had symptoms as a child much like urs and also like xls 76 accompanied by sulfur burps. I know his family at least the women have had problems retaining iron. I'm not sure if they had ever been screened for hemochromatosis yet but he thinks they have. So check into things having to do with iron. Either iron overload or iron deficiency. U should hopefully get some answers and hopefully diagnosis so u can start feeling better.
