PH Testing

Can anyone tell me what PH testing is like and the procedure. Is it scarey, does it feel funny in your throat?
Much thanks, Michelle

24 hour PH Monitoring is a test to determine whether one is experiencing acid reflux. It is a thin tube placed in the nose down into the esophagus and measures the PH for a 24 hour period. It does feel a little funny in the throat, but is otherwise not painful or that scary.

I've had the pH probe twice.  The worst part of the procedure is the insertion of the tube.  It can be a little frightening, but try to relax which makes insertion easier.  Once in place, it's not too bad.  Good luck!
