Thank you so much boron, You've been really a GREAT HELP. I'll definitely go for "Urea breath test" and then will let you know laterz. Thanks again for writing in details.
take care
Arrange appointment with gastroenterologist and ask for "Urea breath test" for Helycobacter pylori. Blood and stool tests for H. pylori also exist but breath test is considered as reliable one, while others may leave you in doubts if they come out negative.
Burping, heartburn (sharp pains behind the breastbone and acidic feeling in the throat), heavy stomach...are all symptoms of H. pylori. H. pylori bacterium triggers secretion of acid in the stomach. Treatment is with antibiotics, gastro doc should explain you all.
To reduce burping, avoid sugary foods, soda, alcohol, and fruits. Drink plain water or tea (try green tea).
To reduce constipation, don't skip meals, drink enough water or tea but only to maintain a nornal amount of morning urine, no need to exaggerate.
thanks for the response. No, I've not had H.pylori test yet. Do you think I should go for it? I'll tell you it all started.
1 month before i had a sudden pain in my chest which was sharp but went away with burp n belching. but since then i got this heavy feeling on my chest......... burping all the day, i went to Doctor and asked him if something is wrong with my heart coz this pain was spreading in my hands shoulders and head so he did ECG which was fine but now I'm constipated too and this chest pain hits me once in a while burping and heaviness after food is still there. I had very bad eating routines before, mostly skipping breakfast and lunch and depending on dinner.
Helycobacter pylori infection may cause chronic gastritis and hypersecretion of acid. Have you had a test for H. pylori?
