I had my gallbladder removed on 1/24/03, and was fine for about two days. The only solids I ate were sweet potato, and toast and by the third day I had problems with burning in the stomach that would radiate to the

ACIPHEX three days ago, but the problem continues. I tried tums and it made it worse! Any ideas?
Be patient because things will be different for a while after such a surgery...so maybe don't assume it's the meds just yet...
Good luck and God bless!
I stopped the ACIPHEX and after a few days the burning calmed down. I was still on clear liquids though, and began to introduce "cloudy" liquids as they call them. My husband added potatoes, and carrots to the soup and then blended it for me. I haven't been able to tolerate not even a slice of toast! I guess my system is just sensitive or something. I have more of the heartburn today, and might give TAGAMET a try....
Best of luck
I may just stop taking the Aciphex on my own...
