Pain 2 Weeks Post Appendectomy?

2 weeks ago i had emergency surgery for appendicitis; my appendix was just a couple of hours off bursting.
all of yesterday and last night i had tummy ache and thought nothing of it, but then i woke up in the night and the pain was really severe.
when i had appendicitis i saw an on call doctor who came to my dad's house at midnight, and he prescribed me codeine. i tried taking codeine last night and it didn't even touch the pain!
should i see an out of hours doctor?
what could be wrong?
please answer asap because i don't want to suffer anymore!
