Pain after post op Sigmoid colectomy

Pain after post op Sigmoid colectomy

I had a Sigmoid Colectomy 2 mos ago due to severe diverticuli. Almost 2 ft was removed.  I work at an office and sit at a desk.  I'm experiencing pain on my lower right side appoximately 4" from my incision. I do not have an appendix. Is this normal? When I'm lounging it doesn't hurt. when I stand up to walk it hurts. It's kinda like a pressure ache. I eat fruits and vegetables everyday.  I have a bowel movements almost everyday. What would the reason for the pain? I also have diverticulosis on the right side only in the upper part of the colon.  Do I still have to be careful what i eat? Thanks, mb
