8 days ago I started experiencing pain and nausea 2-3 hours after eating. About 18 months ago I cut out fatty, greasy, rich food as these caused vomitting. I had a normal ultrasound and HIDA scan at that time. After altering my diet things improved until 8 days ago and now I am to the point where I don't want to eat because I know what will follow.
I had un ultrasound done at the ER today and it was normal (due to pain and nausea - I was up all night). The ER doc said he thinks my gallbladder isn't functioning properly. I also have burning pain the upper left quadrant. Should I be concerned about my pancreas instead of my gallbladder? Or is this just GERD coinciding with the gallbladder and do you think it sounds like my gallbladder is not functioning properly.?
