Pain and Pressure

I have been having pain and pressure on my left side.  It is causing me not to want to eat. The pressure is sometimes moderate to severe.  I have been to my doctor several times and they don't seem to know what is going on.  I have even been to the emergency room but they are not relieving the problem.  I want to know what I should tell them to check for.

I had a similar situation which started with pain and pressure on my left side of the abdomen. The pain was sometimes very intense and other times I didn't feel anything. I also went to the ER a few times and they didn't know what was wrong with me until I started to run a high fever and I was lucky enough to see a Dr. that understood my symptoms and ordered a ct scan which showed diverticulitis.
