Pain and discharge from belly button

My husband has pain that comes and goes throughout the day from his belly button. He is also secreting very foul smelling liquid from there. This started today. On Monday, he's right testical started to hurt.

Are these two symptons of something? Could this be serious? We don't have medical.

My wife had the belly button symptoms before.  Her Dr. said it should have been nothing.  After she waited a week I told her to flush her belly button with peroxide and after one or two days it pushed out a small plug of lint that was infecting it.  She went back to the Dr. and took it with her and he gave her an antibiotic and an appology.
