Pain in lower right side of stomach

I have a pain in the lower right hand side of my stomach.
The surgeon said 2 catscans showed no dark area.
Could it still be cancer?
I will be taking a colonostrophy in the next few weeks.
Also is the prostate located on the left hand side?
