Pain in upper left abdominal area
I was wondering if infections in the mouth and gums could cause your spleen to become enlarged. I had a enlarged spleen back in 02' and i had a bladder infection at that time. How do i get an enlarged spleen to decrease in size. I also suffer from arrythmias and i am scared to take an antibiotic.

This is an excellent link to causes of an enlarged spleen: http://www.merck.com/mmhe/sec14/ch179/ch179b.html

As you'll see, there are numerous causes of the problem, so it would take working with a doc to work out what's going on.
