Pain under right side of ribs

My husband has been having pain under the right side of his ribs for about a year now.  We have had 2 upper Gi scopes done, a full work up of the heart and nothing comes up.  I have been reading about the symptoms of gall bladder problems.  My husband is only 29 years old.  The pain gets worse when he eats or after he eats.  Lately the pain has been persistent and more intense.  He says he even has pain in his back from this pain.   He felt sick to his stomach last night and could barely eat.  I am wondering if this isn't related to the gall bladder.  Please help us out as much as you can.

Sounds very much like gall bladder to me. He's young to have it but it sounds like it. Get him to ask for a gall bladder scan which should show if he has gallstones or even gravel in his gall bladder. I had gravel in my late twenties which over the years grew (without my knowing it) into gallstones and I had my gallbladder removed in my early 50's by keyhole surgery. Get the scan done asap. Avoid fatty foods, cheese, eggs. Take a low fat diet which may help. Hope this helps.
