Pancreas Divism..Still Having Problems..Just Want My Life Back

Is there anyone out there who has gone through a Whipple surgery for a pancreas divism and severe chronic pancreatitis, only to have the chronic pancreatitis to return? I was told by the surgeon at UAB that I would at least  have a few pain free years until the pancreatitis would return or that it would go away but if it were to return I would have to face another surgery to remove the remaining pancreas and spleen.  but it already has and the surgery was performed in Nov. 2010.  Has anyone had what i think is called a  Distal with spleenectomy and if so has it made a difference in your quality of life? Let me just add...my docs bedside manner ***** and my aftercare has been very poor.If there are others like me out there please e-mail me daisy_pippin***@**** because this chronic illness has ruined my quality of life and I would like to meet others that are in the same boat I am in.
