Pancreas inflammation

I wad diagnosed with idiopathic cardiomyopathy in May, 2012.
Prior to this diagnosis I was in excellent health.
I am taking medication, and my heart is slowly recovering.  (Coreg, amlodopine and micardis)
About five weeks after my diagnosis, I began having disabling pain, pressure and discomfort in my upper body.
My cardiologist says it is not my heart.
I saw a gastroenterologist, and also had a stomach catscan and MRI.  He could find nothing amiss.
Online, I found that I have classic pancreatitis symptoms, extreme pain in upper stomach that bores into my back, radiates to my sides, causes pressure in upper stomach, chest pain, rapid pulse, fatigue, gaseousness,  headache.
Does anyone know if my heart medication could cause my other symptoms.
This has been going on since mid June, and is life disrupting.
I have a healthy diet, no known food allergies, very little alcohol or caffeine consumption.
Thanks
Does anyone know if any of

Thanks for the response,  I am hoping it is medication side effect, as my doctors, including my internist, are calling my symptoms a "mystery".
My heart is improving, and I am now able to ascertain that the pain is not coming from my heart.
The only procedure I have not yet had is an endoscopy, which is next.
I have increased dexilant to twice a day.
Thanks again.

Hi there!

Well, without a clinical evaluation it would be difficult to determine the cause of your symptoms. Possibilities that may need to be considered include medication side effect, UGI inflammation, GI motility issues, heart related issues, neuro-muscular causes etc. Since cardiac and GI exams have been clear, I would suggest considering an evaluation by an internist to look into other possible causes. After a cause is identified it can be managed accordingly.
Hope this helps.

Take care!
