Pancreas pain post Whipple

How long will it take after a Whipple operation for the portion of non diseased pancreas that was left in me to get to the same diseased state as the excised bit.
It's been 2 years since my Whipple,and I am now experiencing the same painful symptons as before the Whipple,except it is not as painful at the top of my chest now the large bit of pancreas is not there.
But down in my right side is excruciating chronic pain and also in my abdomen
