Pancreatitis and Pregnancy

I am a 35-year old female. Three years ago, I had a sudden onset of acute, necrotizing pancreatitis due to familial hypertriglyceridemia. I was in ICU for a month and hospitalized for 4 months afterwards because of excess abdominal fluid, pseudocysts, and a fistula. My TGs were 2,000 (fasting). I see a lipid specialist and have been able to maintain my TGs at 70 with diet, Niaspan, and Lovaza (Omacor).

I am trying to find a doctor who specializes in women with a history of pancreatitis and pregnancy. I would like to know what my options/risks are to get pregnant and minimize another episode with pancreatitis. Are there any doctors out there? What kind of doctor should I see? I live in the central coast area of California.

Thank you.
