Parasite or what??

A few months ago, my bottom began to itch irregulary and extremely. I believed I had pinworms and went to a doctor and did all the necessary home tests such as the tape on your bottom and what not. It never went away. Upon stretching my "butthole" to see, there are small purple bumps all around the hole on the inside, they look like piles almost. My stool began to show up with weird stuff, almost like undigested food or parasite cysts or eggs of some sort...I began to get very very worried. I got a stool analysis done and it came up that I had a common parasitic infection known as blastocytosis hominis...and the doctor prescribed me Alinia, a new medication that was said to work wonders. However; it has been a few weeks and there are NO results...my stool actually looks worse, it is multi-colored, I sometimes have diahrea and there are still these "matters" in my stool. There really is no way to describe how it looks, sorry. My stomach is constantly in pain and Idk what to do anymore...I hope that I do have blastocytosis hominis and that the medication didn't work, rather than having some unknown serious illness. Does anyone here have any idea or clue as to what is going on? I feel like something is eating me from the inside out, and I am deathly afraid of whatever it is expanding towards my other internal organs. This may be an irrational fear, but it is a fear nonetheless. I know this is a general public forum, but I have seen a few medical doctors posting on these, without using the pay-for-answer forums. Please someone out there, help me!!!!!!

I totally agree, you may just be seeing the results of the medication working.  But call your doctor and ask if this is normal, and go from there.

It's possible that even though you didn't feel like the medication was working, that it actually WAS getting rid of the parasites, since you say that there were more "things" in your stool.  Maybe you need another round of the same, or a similar, medication to completely get rid of them.
