Plastic clips or titanium used in open gallbladder surgery, 1989

Hi,

I had open gallbladder surgery for cholesterol gallstones at age 14 in 1989, missing the change over of laproscopy by just 3 months. I have had years of digestive problems, and recently could some it up as a new term Habba Syndrome. I am now gluten and soy intolerant, have had 7 polyps removed from my large intestine 2 years ago...thankfully all benign. I can also not eat night shade vegetables, and only one kind of potato - yukon gold. I also have scarring in the small intestine, and tested negative for celiac's disease twice, however I was not eating gluten at the time of both tests. I have chronic problems with fatigue and have had severe nutritional deficiencies, including vitamin D, zinc and magnesium, calcium Could any of this be a result of the clips left behind? How can I find medical records from the hospital this long ago? The emotional suffering, other severe physical symptoms, social isolation and job difficulties that resulted from this surgery was not worth the surgery. I would have gladly changed my diet and dealt with a flare up every now and then, but the choice wasn't up to me at that age. What could cause a 14 yr old cholesterol gallstones when my diet was not fatty, except for chips and ice cream every now and then? Can you pinpoint me in another direction? I am best when I eat small meals every 2 hours, with a diet of lean protein, fresh fruit and veggies. Gluten free products just cause me to gain weight. My blood pressure goes up every 4-5 days. I take many supplements, but up the potassium and magnesium when BP goes up and take a diuretic at the time.
Also, aldosteronism runs in family - mother's sister.
