Please help - gallbladder removal/fatty liver/nausea/pain/oily diarrhea

Really lost here. Hoping for some help!
This is on behalf of my husband. He has been sick since September. After a LOT of tests, he had a HIDA scan that revealed an ejection fraction of 16%.
He had his GB removed laproscopically on 2/2/10 with no complications. However, he has had no relief either from any of his symptoms. Symptoms are as follows: constant nausea, abdominal pain, oily/bile diarrhea, lump in throat (<~ NOT caused by anxiety). He has lost 30 pounds in the last 5 months (since it began).
Had an endoscopy a couple months ago that showed gastritis and a hiatal hernia. He has GERD. Was on rx-strength Zantac until 9/12/09 when had first GB attack. Has tried every GERD med under the sun. Is now on Kapidex, which helps somewhat with the lump in throat. He has already stopped the painkillers/stool softeners given by the hospital.
Ultra sound showed a fatty liver. Liver enzyme levels are fine. Not diabetic.
He has oily/fatty/bile diarrhea 10+ times per day. He is on a VERY low-fat diet. Doesn't matter what he eats - he is so sick :(
No signs of jaundice.
If anyone has any ideas, PLEASE throw them out there. He's so sick and in pain. Every day. Has only been 9 days since surgery; doesn't see surgeon for follow-up for another 3 weeks. Understand that it's only a little over a week in recovery, but he is NO better than he was before surgery.
PLEASE HELP!!!!!

Hi, Mandi. Thanks so much for responding!! We're going out of our minds here...
He had his pancreas checked out when he had an ultra sound 1-2 months ago, but they didn't see anything wrong with it. How did they figure out it was your pancreas? Did you have to have it removed?

have they checked his pancreas????  I had my gallbladder out, did ok for awhile, then had recurrent sxs. they figured out it was my panceas, which can cause the frequent fatty stools.
