by DaleMale19, Jul 20, 2001 12:00AM
Hi i am a male aged 19..

I have been haveing problems with my stomach for the last 2 and half years. I have real bad acid, so bad that i am physically sick, i am sick nearly everyday if i dont take a ZANTAC Tablet(Ranitidane). I was on LORZOPATON(I Cant spell it) or otherwise known as ZONTON. I had 2 cameras down into my stomach, a biopsoy, ultrasound scan, and alsorts of tests. I have been diagnosiged as having a NON PEPTIC ULCER. But it is getting worse lately. I am now taking upto 4 zantac tablets (Far too much) just to combat the acid.

I have a burning strong feeling in my stomach, and then i am usually sick. I cant drink alchol, eat spicey foods, and general live like a 19 year old lives.

Please could you advise, as i am running out of things to think of what is wrong with me...

Thankyou.

I'm a 22 female with similar problems - I know the no alcohol and spicy foods thing is the worst.  MIne has been going on for about 6 months.  I had a h.pylori test done - and it was positive.  h.pylori is a bacteria that causes increased stomach acid and sometimes ulcers.  Try finding out if you have that.  However, after I even took the meds for that, my stomach still burns.  Had an endoscopy and the doc didn't see anything unusual........

My fiance is 32 and has been similar problems for about 10 or 11 years. He has had about every test out there with nothing significant found. His gallbladder was removed which never changed the problem... One GI said his stomach produced too much acid and he had just a week stomach. This after many tests done. He never knows what triggers it, it just comes on where he gets a pain in his stomach, and it makes him feel sick to the point where he can't concentrate on anything and he starts vomiting. He can vomit for a few hours or up to several days where he cannot eat anything at all. Liquid only. He doesn't know what to do as they cannot find anything. It's definitely not normal. Something is wrong and it's a frustrating condition...

Any advice or comments are greatly appreciated!!!

I also have stomach problems.  Alot of what we eat and drink causes alot of our problems. Do you drink coffee, tea, caronated drinks, chocolate?
If so, these things aggravate my stomach, so I had to start eliminating these things out of my diet.
Start gradually by decreasing anything that has caffeine in it.  This will keep you from having severe withdrawals, headaches etc.

If it gives you indigestion or acid problems you know these are things that yoy need to avoid as much as possible. Also, stress can cause alot of problems too. If you like you can email me:

Yes, I have the problem in my stomach for 7 years. I'm 32 now, 4 years ago I quit my job because of this, now I can only stay at home but the problem never goes away.

my email is LIM_JOO***@****

10 years ago, I was diagnosed as some kind of gall problem, then I stop working for six months for treatment

4 years ago, I was diagnosed and x-ray to have "most probably" Pulmanary Tuberculosis, then I stop working for another six months for treatment. In the meantime I also had Losec.

Now, for 2 months continuously, my stomach problem became severe, symptoms are as follow:
hiccuping, burping, stomach bloated, stomach burning, throat burning, heavy breathing, body muscles tighten-burning-fatigue. worst is the last 3 days I couldn't sleep well because whenever after meals my stomach can't digest-pain-bloated. I have a feeling like end-of-my-life now. Can anyone help me?

I don't smoke, sleep early, swimming, jogging, occasionally beer (twice a month), I stop eating spicy foods.

I am running out of ideas, what can it be? Friends told me it could be Helicobacter Pylori, Gall problem, Liver problem, intesninal problem, Tuberculosis.

Thanks

Joo
