I have upper right quadrant pain, now with added nausea and bloating after eating...sharp pains, now wrapping around my back at times, occassional pain in upper right chest/shoulder. What I've had so far...ultrasound...no gallstones
, HIDA Scan, 35%, upper endoscopy, stool sample...all negative--had some erosions in stomach lining but non specific, no medication needed...on the horizon, H. Pylori
test and CT...I am frustrated with all the tests and co payments...I asked my doc if I could go through all these tests and come back to gall bladder issues and he said yes, sometimes that happens, after he would rule everything else out. Anyone experienced the same, or have any suggestions for next doc visit??? Something is wrong...I don't know what--but the pain is coming from somewhere. Prior to this year I rarely would even go to the doc. My primary
system issue. Since you are borderline for the cutoff on the Hida scan then it very well could be your Gallbadder. You have all the classic symptoms. Like I said to the other poster surgery may or may not help you. It has a better chance of helping you if your ejection fraction is very low and your symptoms were reproduced with CCK injection part of the Hida scan . You should start eating very low fat in the mean time to avoid more attacks until you have a chance to decide if surgery is the option you want to pursue.
