Possible Slamonella healed ???

2 Weeks ago i started experiencing severe cramps, abominable pain, and Diarrhea the cramps were strong enough to wake me out of sleep or collapse me for several days tried to endure it tried taking Imodium (immodium) to try and stop the diarrhea but immediately caused a large amount of blood with the diarrhea..

Immediately went to the hospital and I was Diagnosed to have a parasite or Possibly a severe case of salmonella poisoning. Was placed on several medicines Cipro (500mg) Flagyl(500mg) and Lomotil..

6 Days later after the meds (still 2 to go)all cramps are gone diarrhea has lessened and has started to come out brown/-green with no blood to small amounts of blood  present with a slight tingling/tickling in the back with bowel movements and/or constipation I figured the blood was only caused do to the fact im not fully healed yet.. ?

just asking for advice or info as what to do to speed up the healing process if it does not go away was told by Dr. to schedule a colonoscopy..as far as I know no forms of Irritable bowel syndrome or crowns disease is present in my family..
