I live in Thailand and about 2 weeks ago I had a long night with a lot of drinking. I had done this kind of thing before but for some reason since that day I've experienced an upset stomach and the feeling the my intestines are working VERY slowly. Occasionally it makes noise, which is good I guess. When I do go to the bathroom everything seems normal but for what appears to be mucous. Either way, this wouldn't normally alarm me so much given my location, but one other factor has me very concerned. The very next day after the drinking, I discovered a dark spot
as far as I know. Would the symptoms appear spontaneously like this if it were in fact the problem? Wouldn't I know about this or have some indication of it before a single episode of drinking too much? If it's not polyposis, what could it be? I'm sorry for the long post, I'm just really worried and getting testing done here won't be easy or cheap. Thanks so much for your time.
I would go to a doctor. Symptoms vary with the person. Some people never experience symptoms, some experience them gradually, some get them right away like you did. If the symptoms match an illness you know of, that's definately a sign to see a doctor. You know better than anyone else, trust your gut. If you think you have that illness, chances are you're right. The brain can do wonderful things when you want it to, like how people always know WHICH FOOD it was that caused them to throw up the next day. Alcohol can also do wonders to your body. Just because most people drink, doesn't make it any healthier. It's still poison. And poison tends to screw your body up sometimes. Hope it's nothing serious, good luck.
