Hi, I have had my gallbladder removed just over two weeks ago now. They did not find any stones however my gallbladder wall was thickened in previous scans. Since having it removed under a laproscopic proceedure I have been back and forth to my GP who has taken me off of all pain meds and just given me Omeprosolve as I was having extremely painful
and towards my back. I also still have diorreah and am getting rather fed up of my GP saying theres nothing he can do! I am finding sleeping hard at night as I wake up constantly in pain and can only sleep on one side. Please please please can someone help?!
Its still fairly recent you have had your surgery and your body is going to need time to adjust, my surgeon and GI both suggested taking metemucil every morning, I take two tablets every morning now and has worked very well. As well what type of food are you eating? For the first little while after surgery you have to eat a very low fat diet and any dairy should be skimmed or non fat.... you can also try a digestive enzyme from a health food store which you will take before your meal and this will help you digest the food better... I hope some of these tips help... when is your follow up with your surgeon? You should probably be speaking with him instead of your GP.
