I'm ten days post op after gall bladder removal. I'm going in for my followup appointment tomorrow. I still have the same pain in my upper right ribRib cage pain cage, back, and neckCervical spondylosis Head and neck glands Herpes zoster (shingles) on the neck and cheek Irritated seborrheic kerotosis - neck Lymph tissue in the head and neck. Melanoma - neck Neck lump Neck pain Neck pulse Neck x-ray Oral cancer that I had before the surgery plus the pain from the laproscopic procedure itself. I was dependent on oxycontin for many years and I got off of all painkillers a year and a half ago so I was really scared I'd relapse when they told me I had to have my gallbladder removed. I had a endoscopy that showed some scarring and the HIDA scan came back normalNormal saline flush but they said my main bile duct was greatly dialated and sent me for an MRCT (?) (basically an MRI but for my liver) After that came in, the nurse called and said the surgery was scheduled for the following week. By this time I had been on short term disability leave from work for 2 months. After the outpatient surgery, they sent me home taking 7.5mg PercocetPercocet 10/325 Percocet 10/650 Percocet 2.5/325 Percocet 5/325 Percocet 7.5/325 Percocet 7.5/500twiceTwice-a-day every 4 hours. Due to my history, I stopped taking the pain meds after 8 days and asked my doctor to increase my xanax to double my dose which stopped the "nervous stomach" feeling I was having. I'm still in a lot of pain, like I said and I know there's no way I can go back to my type of work in ten days. I'm really worried they're going to send me back to doing customer service when it hurts to just breathe, let alone sit in a chair and talk for eight hours a day! The only position I can stand is lying down with pillows positioned just right and I'm also having to get into a hot shower every hour. I'm so confused. Any advice?
