I am a 49 year old male who had a fundoplicationHiatal hernia repair in early January of 2008 to treat GERD. At that time, I weighed 167 lbs. and was in good shape physically. I am 5' 11" and now weigh 147 lbs. (lost more weight than anticipated). I have lost some of my strength due to the operation, get winded quickly when exercising, and have only re-gained about 1-2 lbs. Can anyone tell me how long it will take for me to re-gain my strength, more weight, and wind? It has been six months since the operation and despite eating 3 meals plus 2 to 3 protein shakes per day and routinely exercising,
my health is not improving. I am seriously thinking about having the fundoplicationHiatal hernia repair reversed. Any suggestions or recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
