Post Ileoanal Reservior Surgery Diet

Five years ago I had Ileoanal Reservior Surgery(I.R.S.).  It was a great success, but I never got on a post-operative diet. I just went on eating as always and I suffered for it. Is their a diet available that I should know about?  Also,I always feel hungry and therefore eat more than I should and then suffer for it. Could you tell me if their is an associated problem that could be causing this huge desire to eat even when I know I am full?  Thank you!!  Frank John
