Fundoplication has a failure rate ranging from 10 to 20 percent depending on the skill of the surgeon. An upper GI series or 24-hr pH study can be considered to see if GERD is still present.
That being said, 6 days is relatively soon post-op, and you may want to wait for several months to weeks before coming to any conclusions about the surgery.

I have received no help on the Vocal front but did get help with the belching, but now have terrible flatulance. The constant pain in my chest is still there, and I don't think reflux was the cause of my problems. I want this sugery reversed, does anyone know if it can be done? I can be reached at ***@****.
