My aunt who is in her 70's and recently had a 90%

dumpingDumping syndrome and many of the other after effects. My concern is primarily that she also seems to have entered a deep state of depression. She had literally lost the will to live because she must eat 6-7 times a day, can't eat what she wants,experiences

recognizingRecognizing medical emergencies the significance of the physical aspects of the procedure, I am greatly concerned about her

Mental status tests state. Do you have any advice in this area. Her current physician seems indifferent.

Pharmacologic therapies and lifestyle modifications can

Control rx the dumping and other symptoms. The depression is normalafter a major surgery. If you are concerned about the persistence of severity of the depression, then consultation with a mental health specialist may be beneficial. Pharmacologic therapy may be necessary.
