Post gall bladder removal ... pain, can't eat ...

I had my gall bladder removed about six months ago.  Since that time my eating habits have never been the same.  It is almost as if I can not tolerate food.  I have high stomach pain on pretty much a constant basis.  The pain is moderate to severe.  At times it is difficult to stand up straight.  I have tried to follow a gall bladder diet as much as I can.  I try to eat small and often but the pain and discomfort never seem to go away.  I also feel like my esophogus hurts ... is that possible?  Almost as if it is hard to swallow.  I am afraid that continuing this way I am causing damage to my stomach.  It is as if I have no appetite anymore.  I have lost a considerable amount of weight at well.  I am planning on going back to see my family doctor next week, but I am just trying to see what it might be.

Hi, I also had my gallbladder removed 10 months ago due to gallstones and I have been having exactly the same problems that you described.  Bad stomach cramps, burning oesophegas, acid reflux. I also get a lot of nausea and diarhea. I think I should have shares in Gaviscon and Immodium!  I'm sure you know what I mean! I am seeing a gastroenterologist to find out what is wrong as an ultrasound didn't show anything up.  Maybe have a word with your dr to see if you could be referred to a specialist to find out what is wrong. At least then you would know and hopefully get some appropriate treatment.  I hope that helps.

Dont panic I have seen that a lot of people get this after removal of the GallBladder , some try not to have it removed, put it into your search engine and also ask what others are doing for the same ,you are not alone, the removal doesnt helpand  you still get the pain.I get The Gall Bladder Cholic and will not get it removed unless it became infected unfortunatly they like to go for Surgery at all cost., and I will admit sometimes it is the only way.
