2) Considering her age, is there medical treatment that can be taken at home and try to postpone her life and reduce her pain at the same time.
3) Please kindly tell whom shall we turn to should we need more specific instruction and treatment with payment surely. We can send the CT and Ultra photograph. We are looking for the best doctor in USA who can offer help and hope. Please kindly help us!!!

Your kind comments and reply at the earliest would be highly appreciated!!! Last but not the least, wish you all a happy, healthy and successful 2006!!!

To answer your questions:
Treatment for gallbladder cancer would depend on the extent it has spread.  The combination of surgery, radiation therapy and chemotherapy is normally used - based on the characteristics of the cancer.

However, if the cancer has spread too much, treatment only to relieve jaundice, pain and symptoms can be considered.  Again, this would involve the combination of radiation therapy and chemotherapy.

An experimental option is photodynamic therapy, which involves the application of a specific wavelength of light to the tumor bed.

Discussion of these options should be done with an oncologist.  I would suggest one at a major academic medical center.

Followup with your personal physician is essential.
