Pulse high with minor irregular pulse

by Baidwan, Feb 10, 2008 12:23PM
I ate some spicy food about a month ago and it triggered A fib. The pulse now at rest is around 77 sometime at even 91. With metapronol (extra one at night) It comes to 68. With just 1 pill of Lopressor 100MG SR in AM my pulse used to be at 56 or 58 at rest. Is the higher pulse and still minor irregular heart beat (some intervals bit long and some beats closer together) due to stomach problem , acid reflux. I was having burning sensation when stomach was empty and now I have been on prevacid for more than 2 weeks. It was getting better until I had some soup with tomato base in it and in 5 mins the heart rate was quite irregular and the pulse raised.

How long does the stomach acid reflux take to get better. I am dieting and have lost 6 pounds and eating bland foods now and avoiding all citric foods.

Thanks
