Question about gallbladder

Here is my situation. Over a week ago I started having an on and off pain (moderate, not overly intense) in my right side below the rib cage. I went last Saturday to my local ER, they ran blood work (nothing else), came back and told me gallbladder, kidney, everything fine, just a strain.  The pain got worse and I went to a local doctor yesterday. He poked, prodded me, and said likely I have a gallbladder issue. They set up the earliest ultrasound for me, Monday at 7am.

My question is this, is this something I should be more concerned about, time-wise?  I am now developing the belching, the gas along with the pain. Will this wait until Monday without concern? And then if I need surgery, can that wait until say Thursday next week (am I in poverty and work part time two days next week)? Or is it something I should get into the ER again for now?  Thanks for any advice.

so with the gassy and belching and all, I should not worry too much about immediate emergency then, eh? Just an inconvience until the ultrasound and surgery?

Logan074, sorry to hear about your pain.

I was just diagnosed with gall stones 6 days ago. Extreme pain in my abdomen sent me to the emergency room and an ultra sound was done then. It showed the stone in the neck of my gall bladder as well as a distended gall bladder. They got the pain under controll and sent me home with a prescription of vicodin. I got in to see my primary care doc on Monday and am waiting for the surgeon to contact me to get my surgery scheduled.

I am still in pain, feel week and drained but my situation is not considered an emergency. I am not sure how your medical team will handle your situation. Just letting you know how mine was handled.
