The CT sometimes is not totally comprehensive in imaging the pancreas.
The mass can be cancer, a cyst, or a pancreatic pseudocyst, amongst other causes. Of course, cancer needs to be ruled out. That is why the MRI was ordered.
I agree with the MRI. Another imaging modality that may be of benefit would be an
endoscopicErcp ultrasound.
