I START FEELING QUEASY EVERY AFTERNOON AND IT LASTS AROUND 2HRS
MY STOMACH SWELLS AND I FEEL LIKE I'M GOING TO VOMIT AT ANY TIME
IT DOESN'T SEEM TO BE CONNECTED WITH ANYTHING I EAT AND IT HAPPENS ALMOST EVERYDAY AT THE SAME TIME - I USUALLY GET EXTREMELY HOT WITH IT - ANY IDEAS OR SUGGESTIONS?  THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON ABOUT 2 MONTHS - HELP!

Dear Upset Stomach,
For a recurrent problem like the one that you describe, it is necessary to exclude structural as well as functional problems, as the first step.  A barium x-ray of your stomach and a gastric emptying study should be done.  IF no abnormalities are detected, then it is necessary to evaluate carefully what and wtere you eat as well as with who you eat.  If the problem only occurs after lunch, then something about that meal is causing your problem.
This information is presented for educational purposes only.  Ask specific questions to your personal physician.
