Reflux, Duodenal Erosions, non-responsive to meds

Severe reflux...off the charts Bravo survey.  Small erosions, not typical, found in the Duodenum on edoscopy, actively bleeding slightly at the time.  By not typical I mean he stopped short of calling them ulcers...saying they were "ulcer like" but very small.

Doc said he was surprised to see them because I had been on Aciphex, Nexium and most recently Protonix leading up to the scope.  (Stopped them a week before the scope though).

Biopsy negative for cancer and H.Pylori.  A follow up blood test for Gastrin levels and H.Pylori were scheduled, along with a stomoach empty test.

Stomach empty normal...Gastrin levels normal...the blood test however was positive (5) for H.Pylori IGA.

I did 2 weeks of antiboitics, but still no relief from the reflux.

Now to add to the fun, this morning I noticed what appeared to be a small worm in the commode after flushing.  About 1 centimeter long, about the diameter of a paper clip, dark grey...and it was definately writhing around on its own power.

So...reflux that doesn't respond to drugs...H.Pylori antibodies present in blood...and now the worm.

I've called the docs office...waiting to hear back.

Any thoughts???
