drip on occassion. I have never felt anything similar to heartburn, and I have not had an upset stomach or felt gaseous or bloated. However, on three different instances over the past couple of weeks, I have woken in the morning with sharp upper abdominal pains that wrap around towards my back. It feels as though my body is being squeezed by a vice grip. The pain usually lasts a couple of hours and then gradually turns into a dull ache. My mother is very concerned that I may have a problem with my gallbladder. She had hers removed years ago, but said that she had similar symptoms. Could these symptoms possibly be caused by my reflux
or do they sound like a more serious problem with my gallbladder? I have an appointment with my PCP in another week or so. I just thought someone out there might have some information to share...
. Once the gallbladder bladder came out, I had no more reflux. It's certainly worth investigating a gb problem since the upper back pain is a classic symptom of gb problems.
