I have had intermittent sever upper right quadrant pain for the past year. Four months ago my surgeon did an exploratory lap, and took out my appendixAppendectomy. I am still having the same pain that I had prior to surgery. One year prior to this surgery, I was having pain, and had surgery, and it was found that I had an intussusceptionIntestinal obstruction repair Intussusception (children) Intussusception - x-ray, which is very rare in adults. About a year and a half before THAT surgery, I had horrific pains, and had to have emergencyEmergency airway puncture Emergency contraception surgery, and they found an internal hernia, and partialPartial (focal) seizure Partial thromboplastin time (ptt) Thyroid gland removal small bowel obstruction. These all, I am told, are complications from my lap rny (gastricAdjustable gastric banding Culture of gastric tissue biopsy Gastric cancer Gastric culture Gastric suction Gastric tissue biopsy and culture Gastric ulcer Gastroparesis Peptic ulcer Pyloric stenosis Weight-loss surgeriesbypassHeart bypass surgery Heart bypass surgery - series) surgery that I had in 2003. I had a tummy tuck in 1994. I also had a c-section in 2000, and my gall bladder was removed in 1995. My first surgery was when I was two weeks old. I had pycloric stenosis, which is rare for baby girls.... so.... I obviously have adhesions, but my surgeron assures me that I do not have any adhesions on my stomach lining, that they were removed in the past couple of surgeries... I have heard that people can have a reoccurance of intussusception... if so, what tests would confirm that, because I have had some CT's done, but never showed any blockage, or anything. Two weeks ago I had deep red blood on my stool for the first time, and I know that this also could mean another intussusception (as well as other things). The pain or attacks as I call them does not happen every day, and it doesn't matter what I eat. When I do have an attack, it can last anywhere from one hour to 12 hours. The pain is a 10, on a scale of 1-10... what can I do???? I am so tired of being in pain! Depression has started to set in......... Please help!!
