Righ lower quadrant, one spot extremely sensitive to touch

I've had lots of constipation over the years from sitting and also a side affect of medicines. Some of which I've had to stop. Then one day I had an u/s, and we found this spot on my right side just below the belly button that hurts to the touch and I'm starting to feel bloated. I went to my ob an ruled out anything uterine or ovary related. Went to my pcp who did a CT scan thinking it was a hernia. I have strong abs so nothing had popped, but it felt like somethign was back there. Its one spot and its not moving. The result I got this morning, was no hernia, thickening of sigmoid and I'd be going for a colonscopy. Several things come to mind, diverticular disease, CA, polyps. Is the one spot tenderness seem to mean anything? I'm waiting to get booked and I'm very nervous. I'm a working mom and really busy.
